The Strategic Land Group has completed the sale of 7.5 acres of land in Clitheroe to Story Homes. The land was purchased with planning permission already obtained for 91 units and it will be the second phase of the Pendleton Grange development by the award winning housebuilder.

The transaction unlocks the full 11 acre site, the first phase of which was sold to Story Homes by Strategic Land Group in 2015, to build 130 new homes with a with a gross development value of £24 million.

Located off Henthorn Road in Clitheroe, Pendleton Grange phase two will be a collection of house types including apartments, terraced, semi-detached and detached properties, as well as some of the best-selling house types from the first phase.

The Strategic Land Group acted on behalf of the private land owner in the deal and secured planning permission on the site before the sale.

Story Homes’ land and planning director David O’Reilly said: “This is a significant development for Story Homes and it will deliver much needed family housing ranging in size from two to five bedroom homes.

Pendleton Grange will help sustain existing local services while the economy will also be boosted through the creation of hundreds of jobs over the life of the development, both directly and indirectly through subcontractors and the supply chain.
