Arbeta, the latest addition to the Sharp Project family

Ashurst Communications was appointed by Manchester Creative Digital Assets to launch Arbeta.

Arbeta is the result of the £9.95 million transformation of the building previously known as One Central Park and has created 138,000 sq ft of work space aimed at digital, tech, creative and media businesses.

The campaign was executed through social media and culminated with over 200 people from Manchester’s creative, digital and tech community celebrating the completion of Arbeta at special event held in the building’s 9,100 sq ft central, full height atrium.

Starting from scratch our organic social media campaign launched the Arbeta proposition with these specific objectives:

  • To raise awareness of Arbeta across the Greater Manchester creative, digital and tech sectors
  • Build Arbeta’s digital presence in readiness for the completion of the physical building.
  • Generate interest and quality leads for the work space at Arbeta.
  • Start to build an online community linked to Arbeta.

At the time of the launch event in February 2020 the campaign had generated the following results:

  • Over 400 followers
  • Over 125,000 impressions
  • Over 2400 engagements

The launch event, held on a grey night in February, included a warm welcome from Manchester City Council Leader, Sir Richard Leese, the Bands FC exhibition, vintage computer games; demonstrations from Sharp Project tenants; DJ sets and a live set by up and coming band The Illicits.

The event itself was produced by Don’t Panic with drinks provided by Escapade and food by Wilson Vale who will operate the café in Arbeta.
