Thrive comes to Farnworth, Bolton

Serviced office provider Thrive was founded in 2016 and following the success of its operation in Wigan, Warrington and Newton-le-Willows soon embarked upon a planned expansion. Ashurst Communications provides its full range of strategic public relations and marketing services to generate interest and excitement for the launch of each new building. Here we look at the launch of Miller House in January 2019.

Long considered an eye-sore blighting the main street in Farnworth town centre, Thrive acquired Miller House and had the imagination and courage to take a risk on the property and create a vision that would both change the scene of Market Street and bring much-needed office accommodation and investment for businesses into the local area.

Making use of our exceptional network we invited business people from Bolton and Greater Manchester are and Bolton Council leader Linda Thomas agreed to formally open and the building.

Linda Thomas said: “I am delighted to welcome Thrive to Farnworth and to see Miller House, which has been empty for some time, being brought back to life. We are developing a new masterplan for the Farnworth area that will focus on both the place and its people. We are looking for innovative solutions from investors that will assist with regenerating the area to benefit local people. Miller House fits with this and we hope that it will encourage others to take a similar approach.”

The 150 guests were treated to a red-carpet welcome, including bespoke cocktails and canapes. A string quartet and magician provided entertainment. Our social media posts on the evening were viewed over 1500 times and was covered by the local Bolton Press as well as the Greater Manchester business press.

Miller House was fully occupied by summer 2019. Read more about the launch event here or watch the film we made of the night.
