Fireworks as Thrive opens at Widnes

Serviced office provider Thrive was founded in 2016 and following the success of its operation in Wigan, Warrington and Newton-le-Willows soon embarked upon a planned expansion. Ashurst Communications provides its full range of strategic public relations and marketing services to generate interest and excitement for the launch of each new building. Here we look at the launch of Foundry House on 1 November 2018.

Foundry House located on Widnes Business Park was completely refurbished by the Thrive team to creating 11,245 sq ft of modern, stylish office space across 36 suites. Unlike the other Thrive locations which benefit from being in highly visible locations, Foundry House is a destination in its own right so we knew we would need to hold a launch event to put the building firmly on the map.

Working with the amazing Walk the Plank we decided there was no better way to launch the building than with a dramatic fire work show.

Making use of our excellent network of contacts across the North West we invited regional business figures and local business networking and advice groups to attend the launch and view the new office space. The 150 guests were treated to a dramatic firework display which was far away as the Mersey Gateway Bridge!

The building was formally opened by The Worshipful the Mayor of Halton, Councillor John Bradshaw and the Mayoress, Councillor Mrs Marjorie Bradshaw.

The Worshipful the Mayor of Halton, Councillor John Bradshaw said: “I am delighted to formally open Thrive, it’s a great addition to the office offer in Widnes. I am very impressed by the varied and comprehensive facilities they have provided here for small businesses.”

Foundry House was fully occupied by summer 2019
